Life Support: a critique Group
For years I stumbled along in the dark, thinking everything I wrote was golden.
Other eyes needed to see what I most likely missed.
What I needed was a critique group.
Critique groups provide encouraging comments as well as constructive criticism. Ultimately, our stories are products. And they compete with a zillion other stories for an editor's eye.
Writers need editors just like buildings need inspectors.
My first critique was an real eye-opener.
The critique-ers found glitch after glitch in my perfect story.
For a while, I felt like a flop.
But it made my story stronger.
And isn't that the goal?
