Art Springing up:

       Inspired by my Twitter-pal Autumn Seybert (@AutumnSeybert, - you can check out her adorable artwork here AutumnSeybert.wordpress.com)


 I'm rolling out the red carpet for spring with a process post.


 I start with a sloppy sketch...

   I rework the image and transfer to Arches 300lb cold press, then start
 laying in thin washes of acrylic...

    I love watercolor for the skin tones...

   Then I gradually build up thicker and thicker layers of paint, and fuzz up the edges with a wide brush.
